Xia is a 9-year-old McNab but you wouldn't know her age by her boundless energy. She is ready to go each and every day. Mayacama is her second home, but she would probably prefer it to be her only home. She loves it here and all the Members and employees adore her. She readily chases geese out of our two ponds with ease and is the reason we have no bird issues on property. She runs 'her' course daily and knows the course better than anyone.
My name is Dale Engman, I am a 25-year Golf Course Superintendent at Mayacama Golf Club. A Californian at heart I studied turf management at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and was fortunate to get my foot in the door here during construction and have been here ever since. We are located in Northern California in the heart of wine country, and the Club boasts more wine lockers than actual lockers. Mayacama is a beautiful place that we are lucky to call home.
