Having a Super Time with Superintendents
Recapping the 2017 Golf Industry Show
How about a trip to Orlando in February? For turf professionals and golf course superintendents, the Golf Industry Show is an excellent reason to head south for the winter—or at least for a few days.
We proudly participated in another successful Golf Industry Show, and we thank everyone who stopped by our booth. But, if you weren’t able to make it, don’t worry. We’ve got all the highlights for you right here:
We’re On The Air
Once again, we partnered with GCSAA TV to present GCSAA TV Live, two full days of live coverage from the GIS show.
We kicked off every day with a conversation with our own Chris Gray on the live stage, but then we were treated to all kinds of segments. We’re talking everything from birds of prey to government affairs to award presentations.
To check out the archived live segments, visit the GCSAA TV website.
GCSAA TV also did a booth tour with us, and you can watch it here.
It’s All About The Dogs
We held voting for our Dog of the Year prize at the booth again this year, and it was another all-star group of pups. It was a heated battle, but in the end, the winner was Drake; Mr. October. Congrats to Justin Buhler, Superintendent at The Golf Club at Middle Bay in Oceanside, New York.
But that’s not our only dog-related activity. We also worked with the GCSAA to donate $3,000 to K9’s for Warriors, an organization dedicated to providing service canines to veterans and service men and women suffering from PTSD, traumatic brain injuries, or other conditions as a result of military service. It was one of the best moments of the entire week.
Prizes and Magic
Our famous prize wheel was front and center this year, and you could spin to win LebanonTurf prizes. Needless to say, it was a big hit on the busy show floor. The highlight from a prize perspective was an Apple Watch, which you could enter to win by filling out a brief survey.
We also had a live magician doing card tricks and entertaining attendees.
Products In The Spotlight
High above the show floor, we showcased our recent print ads for our flagship products: ProScape Fertilizer with Acelepryn Plus Dimension, Emerald Isle Solutions and Country Club MD. But we also unveiled a new product, E-Blend. Our own Chris Gray describes it as “a good combination of an organic source and a synthetic source put together into one product.”
You can learn more about E-Blend by watching our booth visit above or by watching our GCSAA TV product spotlight.
We also unveiled a brand new blend of ProScape, 21-22-4 with Mesotrione. It’s the very first professional product that uses Mesotrione as a combination product, so it’s big news in the industry!
